Other Turn up for house tours at given times

Andrew welcomes you to his Mid-1960s 3 bedroom bungalow.

Modifications:
Installed 3.6kW PV array, EV charger, solar power diverter for immersion heater, air source heat pump, approx 30cm wool insulation in loft. (Bungalow already had double glazing and cavity wall insulation.

Motivations:
Existing gas central heating was inadequate and needed replacing anyway. Keen to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by moving to being all electric and taking advantage of renewables.

Approximate cost:
£20,000

Approximate energy savings:
Can’t say as we had the work carried out shortly after we moved into the bungalow.

Benefits:
Warmer. Lower electricity bills due to use of solar PV. Free car charging using solar PV.

Next steps:
Possibly home battery system but can’t afford it at the moment.
