Ruth welcomes you to her timber house, built under caravan regs. 

Green features:
Off grid for electricity using PV. Hot water generated using solar thermal and using excess PV. Biomass back up boiler. Very well insulated and ‘district heating’ in place.

Motivations to make changes:
We built it with planned sustainability.

Huge! Unanswerable

Benefits:
Clean predictable heating. 

Next steps:
More panels and more batteries, borehole. Considered turbine to trickle charge batteries. Rejected as capital outlay is huge.
