3 bespoke Border Oak homes nearing completion and ready for sale in Dol Fach, Gladestry
All of the houses have solar PV, air source heat pumps, sprinklers, triple glazing, underfloor heating and super insulation.
The houses are designed and built sustainably and to last centuries. They are handmade using natural FSC/PEFC materials procured locally with low embodied and operational carbon and high carbon sequestration in the oak and timber frame. Natural local paints have been used. The use of steel, cement and concrete has been minimised - as has waste. Materials have been pooled (ie shared and returned) to eliminate waste.
The sites include timber outbuildings, native hedge boundaries, new trees etc.
Meet on site at Cottage 2 and tours around Barn 3 and Cottage 4 will be offered.
