Motivation to retrofit:
New build gave us the opportunity to create a very low carbon home that is efficient to heat and gives us a comfortable house whatever the weather.

Built by Oakwrights who we'd reccomend.
Approximate energy savings:
Since Feb we are in credit for electricity (including car charging). Exported 3000kWh.
Benefits:
Running costs negligible (winter will be an interesting learning time). A very comfortable home to live in returning to a constant temperature even on cold days.
Next steps:
Going to add a backup unit to avoid grid outage. Will add rainwater storage above ground. Considered underground rainwater harvesting but the costs were too high.
