Jackie welcomes you to her rubble stone agricultural building retrofitted with cork and other natural materials.

Modifications:
Insulation, pellets heating, solar thermal, solar PV, ev point

Motivation to retrofit:
As part of a futureproofing renovation

Approximate cost:
Hard to say as much of the work wasn't specifically energy-related

Approximate energy savings:
TBC

Benefits:
No fossil heating, no longer cold or damp, very pleasant

Next steps:
Maybe some external shading at some stage (would only benefit on a handful of days/year). Maybe at some stage switch to a heat pump. At the time, considered a heat pump. It was 8 years ago and we didn't want to be 100% dependent on electricity then. And we didn't go to Enerphit standard because of making compromises with the heritage angle.
