Please note: All renewable energy works are viewable externally as installed in a garage plant room. Ample parking space for up to 4 vehicles off road. Additional parking could be arranged if necessary.

David and Vanessa welcome you to their rural detached renovated and extended 19th century cottage.
Modifications:
Ground source heat pump and solar pv with battery, ev charger, iBoost installed within last 12 months.
Motivations to make changes:
To move to renewable energy sources and move away from oil fired heating.
Approximate costs:
Approx £10k net cost after RHI for heating. ~£13k for PV
Approximate energy savings:
Savings variable with power and oil price variation. As power prices rise heat pump savings drop but solar PV savings rise. Heat Pump saved over 3 tonnes CO2 per annum. PV also saved over a tonne and switching to electric cooking almost another tonne.
Benefits:
More consistent heating level with "background" heating from heat pump.
Next steps:
Retrofit insulation. Heat pump installed first in order to obtain RHI before scheme ended March 2022.
